I recently found an article that spoke about deaf patients using music therapy. It was bizarre to think that this was even possible, considering that music therapy involves listening. But, in fact, it is actually very common for deaf patients to sign songs with their instructors.

Whether these patients were born deaf or they lost their hearing further on in their lives, it is not uncommon to incorporate sign language into their therapy sessions. This process can let them express emotion into the activity and put how they are feeling into the action of signing. It's pretty amazing to think about how versatile music therapy actually is.

The video that is included is an online option for someone to watch and follow along with. There are many of these uploaded to YouTube for the public.

This could be a cool avenue to pursue a little further. I never heard of such a thing.
