A question was asked to me by my teacher about whether or not I would be doing therapy on someone soon. Now although this would be an interesting experience, it is not something I am intent on doing, or something that is even possible. To help someone successfully, you need to be licensed and have a proper educational background.
Though, something I am interested in doing is visiting my sponsor and seeing if we can get a few of her patients to allow me to sit in. This would give me a lot of insight on what goes on during one of her typical sessions, and could help me come up with some more ideas for my final presentation. Although this still might not even be an option, since a lot of people want to keep their information private.
I certainly hear you about respecting privacy, but I'm also interested how you can construct a hands -on (or ears-on) experience that really allows you to immerse yourself in your project. How can you create music-therapy experiences in the school, or perhaps in your home, among family members?
I believe that doing therapy is a very wise idea.
Music is relaxing , a lot of times I listen to music when i'm going through something to help me get my mind off of what ever is bothering .
I think doing therapy would be a good and interesting idea!
Music can be really relaxing!
